Laura Peck has been conducting seminars and coaching CEOs, Deputy Ministers, Ministers, and C-Suite executives in the public, private, and non-profit sectors for over 30 years.
As Vice President and co-founder of McLoughlin Media, Media Training & Consultants, she has conducted thousands of communications skills programs for senior executives throughout North America. Prior to co-founding McLoughlin Media, Laura worked as a Political Assistant on Parliament Hill, and as a broadcaster for television and radio with the CBC.
She frequently appears as a media analyst for radio and television networks, including CBC, CTV, and CPAC, as well as for newspapers including the National Post, the Globe and Mail, Postmedia® News and numerous publications across North America, including More and Campaigns and Elections Magazine. Laura is the author of a chapter in the Oxford University Press book Public Speaking in Canada.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education Degrees from Dalhousie University. In 2004, she received a Certificate for completion of the Executive Development Program, “The Art and Practice of Leadership Development” at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
Laura is an Adjunct Professor and Fellow at Carleton University’s Riddell Masters Program in Political Management, where she teaches Strategic Communications. In 2014, she graduated from the Certificate Program, Teaching the Case Study Method at Harvard Business School.
