Laura M. Peck


Laura Peck has been conducting seminars and coaching CEOs, Deputy Ministers, Ministers, and C-Suite Executives in the publics, private, and non-profit sectors for over 30 years.

Laura has conducted thousands of communications skills programs for senior executives throughout North America – including Encountering the Media®, Making Effective Presentations, Leadership in a Crisis, Leadership for a Changing World and Appearance Before Committees. Laura previously worked as a Political Assistant on Parliament Hill, and as a Broadcaster for television and radio with the CBC.

She frequently appears as a media analyst for radio and television, including CBC, CTV, CPAV, 1310News as well as for newspapers including the National Post, the Globe and Mail, Postmedia®News and numerous publications across North America, including Campaigns and Elections Magazine. Laura is a chapter author of the Oxford University Press book Public Speaking in Canada: Building Competencies in Stages.

Laura received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education Degrees from Dalhousie University. In 2004, she received a Certificate for completion of the Executive Development Program, “The Art and Practice of Leadership Development” at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

Laura is a Fellow at Carleton University’s Riddell Masters Program in Political Management, where she frequently lectures on Strategic Communications and Political Management and the Media. In 2014, she graduated from the Certificate Program, Teaching the Case Study Method at Harvard Business School.
